Our religious teachers set ten tenets of faith for us, each Karaite is required to know them:

1) I believe that the Eternal God created the heaven and the earth, and everything that is on the earth and in heaven.

2) I believe that the Eternal God was, is and will be.

3) I believe that the Eternal God is One.

4) I believe that the Eternal God sent us the prophet Moses, who is the greatest of the prophets.

5) I believe that the Eternal God gave us the Holy Torah, through the prophet Moses.

6) I believe that the Eternal God endowed the prophetic abilities to all the prophets who came after Moses.

7) I believe that each Karaite must know and read the Torah and that each Karaite must understand the Torah.

8) I believe that the Eternal God will resurrect the dead on his Day of Judgement.

9) I believe that the Eternal God judges fairly and that everyone will be rewarded or punished according to his merits.

10) I believe that the Eternal God will send Mashiah from the house of David and that he will restore his kingdom.
